The Special Awards

These are the three special awards which cannot be applied for, but rather are given out at my discretion :-) .... These awards are non-rated and will not earn "points" with the AS! system -- only the actual Rose Awards are rated by Award Sites! and therefore earn points.

The 2005 Humanity Award -- This award, which was originally created in October 2002, will be given out to the following people:

(1) Webmasters/webmistresses who give back of themselves to the worldwide Net community, offering their talents, their skills, their web sites, as resource points for other people who are interested in bettering themselves and their own sites ... These special people are a great asset to the World Community because they offer their advice and expertise to all who seek it, and everyday, they are making the Internet a better place to be !

(2) This award will also be granted to those special people who display love, tolerance, understanding, compassion, and all-inclusiveness to the Worldwide community, and who understand the true meaning of "We are the World" -- these folks don't shy away from "differences" but instead they reach out to all who pass through their cyber "doors"!

(3) And, this award will be granted to those persons who make the world a better place in which to live -- through animal rescue, child adoptions, taking care of elderly parents or sick children, working with AIDS patients, helping to build homes for the poor, etc etc -- People who give of themselves to the sick, the weak, the helpless, and/or the less fortunate in their own, personal lives ... They make this world a better place to live because they care, and they aren't afraid to show love and compassion to the people and the animals around them!

Alexander and Daniel's Great Pet Site Award

"Until one has loved an animal,
part of one's soul remains unawakened."

~ Anatole France ~

Very special thanks to my cat, Alexander, and
my parrot, Daniel, for posing for these pictures !

Graphic is 11.9 KB and 200(h) x 170(w) in size.

Alexander-n-Daniel's Great Pet Site Award -- this is the newest award which cannot be applied for, but will be given to:

Individuals who and/or websites that celebrate and honor our furry, fluffy, and feathered friends ! .... Any worthy site (which meets ethical standards, of course) that cherishes our animal friends, and shows them how much we love them :-)

"From the oyster to the eagle, from the swine to the tiger,
all animals are to be found in men and each of them exists in some man,
sometimes several at the time. Animals are nothing but the portrayal of our
virtues and vices made manifest to our eyes, the visible reflections of our souls.
God displays them to us to give us food for thought."

~ Victor Hugo ~
